I think they removed the PXE part from the last version. You can still download the necessary files from the documentation page about configuring PXE Bootserver:

Ping PXE

The link to PartImage.zip has been restored :)

DNSMasq is a DHCP/DNS server in one which is in the dd-wrt firmwares. So if you let your Synology do all of that using the same DHCP/DNS software you should just as well be able to boot the pxelinux.0 file on your synology.

I'm not sure if you can configure this:
http://www.synology.com/releaseNote_enu/package_DHCP.php?lang=nld onto your synology.

Before you enable it make sure no other DHCP server is on the same network.

Nice work. I have a few things to mention though:
It's unclear about the Partimage.zip as the url is no longer valid.
It's easy to find some partimage stuff around the web, but what to use?
Another thing is the Ping 3.01 which is now 3.02 and doesn't include the pxelinux.0 which has to be downloaded seperately.

Is there some way to make this work without a dd-wrt box? I've heard Synology now comes with dnsmaq, so maybe its possible to make it all locally? I've seen something similar with DHCP as proxy, but have no idea how to set these things up myself.

Regards from Denmark.

 Nice!

After changing the ObjectState, the Missing-Turned-Failed VM turned to Stopped, and I had to right-click and delete... all is well, and the original VM is running none the wiser.

Thanks!

Helpful info. Fortunate me I discovered your website by accident, and I am surprised why this accident didn't happened earlier! I bookmarked it.
